Cycle Polo is a variant of Polo, making use of bicycles instead of horses. The sport was developed by Richard Mecredy in Ireland in 1891, and had founds its way to England and India just a couple of years later. Teams are made up of four players and rules are similar to Polo. The International Bicycle Polo Federation was founded in 1996.
