Croquet
Croquet is a sport in which players hit balls with a mallet through hoops embedded into the playing field. The sport originated from a game played in France during the middle-ages, and the modern game was build upon it in Ireland and England in the 19th century. There are two disciplines: (association) croquet and golf croquet. The sport is governed by the World Croquet Federation, which was founded in 1986.
