Futsal
Futsal is the indoor version of football. Futsal is played between two teams of four field players and a goalkeeper. The origins of futsal are disputed, but lie in South American in the 1930's. It originiated in the areas of Montevideo and São Paulo. The sport got organized in the 1970's, and competitions started to emerge in the following years. Futsal is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, which was founded in 1904, and the Asociacion Mundial de Futsal, which was founded in 1971 as FIFUSA.
