Go is a strategic board game for two players. The sport originated over 3000 years ago in China, and became well established in East Asian education and culture. In the early 1900's the sport spread around the world. In go the players take turns placing stones (black and white) of their own color on vacant points on a Go Board. There are two basic scoring systems, the main is territory scoring, the other is area scoring. The International Go Federation was founded in 1982.
