Indoor Hockey
Indoor Hockey is the indoor variant of Field Hockey. The game is played under modified rules on an indoor pitch of around 40 by 20 m. The ball and sticks are the same. The game originated in Germany in the 1960's, and the first international tournaments were organised in the 1970's. The Fédération Internationale de Hockey was founded in 1924.
