Roller Hockey
Roller hockey is played in a rink 200 by 85 feet, on a concrete or sports court surface. The layout is similar to ice hockey, and the puck used is plastic. Roller hockey is played by two teams of five persons each, using quad roller skates (which differates it from inline hockey, where inline skates are used). The origins of the game start in England, where it was first played at The Lave Rink at London in 1885. The sport was called rink hockey in those days. Roller hockey is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports, which was founded in 1924.
